Consular legalization at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
Before a Lao document can be legalized by a foreign embassy, its seal and signature are authenticated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Vientiane. We prepare the file, submit it, follow it up and collect it — so you do not have to queue or travel.

Frequent questions
Why is MFA authentication needed?
Foreign authorities cannot verify Lao seals directly. The Ministry confirms the document is genuine, and the destination embassy then legalizes the Ministry's authentication.
How long does it take?
Timing depends on the ministry's workload and the embassy that follows. We give you an estimate with the quote and keep you updated.
